Arc Raiders Quick Recap of Old PvP Placements

The old PvP positions looked like a classroom in which Ventor won every fight without anyone standing up. It sat in S+ alone because of the double-shot pressure and fire speed, which made duels seem unfair. Anvil was the top group in the S-tier, followed by Renegade (under it), Torren, Toro (under it), Vulcano (under it), Bobcat, and Stitcher. These were the best for close or mid trades. Tempest Arpeggio Bleta Betina made up the A-tier. They were "fine but not scary". Kettle dropped until upgrades kicked off, Jupiter and Osprey had long-range punish weapons that were effective early on but lost their pressure once someone found cover. Pharaoh is still a budget-friendly gun but doesn't win matches. Rattler lives near the bottom and has awkward reloading pain. Hairpin remains the meme gun of choice for players who want style points over survival.

arc raiders items in PvE

The light ammo gun feels soft in PvE. This is because the small bots will be destroyed by the shot, but larger arc units will ignore it and move forward. These guns can only be used against small wasps, or for small targets. When armor appears or a fight lasts too long, they lose their value.

 Medium ammo guns in PvE

When you have a good angle, medium ammo cannons are a perfect fit for PvE. Their shots will break weak points and they'll give you clean control. They shine in bombardier batteries, bastion joint, and flyers which must be tagged with a simple tap of the fire.

Recoil can be kept under control and you will break larger pieces faster with heavy ammo. The ammo guns may feel heavy and bulky, but a single clean shot to a turbine or leg can complete a target early and transform a long path into a short one.

In PvE, you can use energy weapons

Energy guns target the armor strip to turn hard units into soft targets. Once the plates start to fall, fights get faster, and you feel more comfortable. They work best when a teammate is standing next to you and firing powerful follow-ups into new weak spots.

 Old S tier overview

The Old S Tier looked like an elite lounge where the best guns sat in soft chairs to watch the rest suffer. Anvil was confident and calm because it always worked. Jupiter was next with long-range armor that felt ridiculously strong. Ventor entered the room as a hero, since it's old fire speed wiped people out before they had even breathed. Torren and Vulcano possessed the close-range energy that felt like a small earthquake. Bobcat, with its loud spray power, joined this club. Stitcher and Toro were in the same zone, because they shred fast when you keep your angles tight. Hullcracker floated high above all in a golden bubble, as the ultimate tool for killing bosses in PvE.

 Ailion weapon added to PvE

Ailion, the flashy PvE troublemaker, is the one that makes team fights more fluid. Targets stop moving and shooting as you bully them using the double-shot laser beam. The gun is soft and hits the target after the armor has broken. This makes it a good control tool rather than an finisher.

The Equalizer is now available in PvE

PvE saw a rise in Equalizer because people finally realized the power of its stripping ability once you commit to fights where another person finishes off your weak point. When the gun is fired, it locks up your movements and slows down your pace. However, when you use Showstopper to shave several layers of armor, your squad will have an easier time. It hits softly after the armor breaks. However, its value to a coordinated push has increased.

 Ventor change in PvE

Ventor barely moved when it came to PvE, because the ventor nerf by arc raiders focused on fire speed instead of its core role in PvE. You can continue to mag dump medium ammo at weak points. And the cycle will still be fast enough to kill bots without armor. The weight increase does not affect PvE paths and only makes the fire rate numbers slightly slower.

Fire-rate decrease is minor for PvE

Mag Dumps Still Land Fast on Soft Targets

Weight bump has a minimal impact on movement.

Bomber and bomber meltings are still going strong

 No real place change required

 Hullcracker Heavy nerf PvE

Hullcracker fell hard after the arc raiders hullcracker nerf, which hit power, price, and comfort simultaneously. Now, the old boss killer feels slow, noisy, and risky in long fights. While you can still kill big numbers, the longer time to kill them will pull you into danger and reduce your ammo.

Ailion weapon now available in PvP

Ailion brings PvP to a new level with its clean, mid-range snap shot that quickly eliminates shields. And the new ailion weapon for arc raiders allows players to put pressure on their opponents without stepping in range of a shotgun. When you fire twice the panic sets in, but if the shield is broken by a single shot, then you have to be careful.

 Kettle rise in PvP

Kettle Rises: The arc raiders' light ammo weapons finally gain some attention when players discover how ridiculously clean their recoil gets after upgrades. You can trade fast, win duels by standing still, and use the cheap build for budget raids.

 Ventor Fall PvP

Ventor drops because the arc Raiders ventor nerf reduces the old firespeed that allowed it to surpass all rivals. You still win trades and can double-hit players, but now you are not deleting them instantly like before. Bobcat and Vulcano are now able to push harder. Kettle is now able tap faster. The tier gap has finally closed.

 Updated PvP tier list

It feels like PvP has changed because Ventor is no longer the dominant player in the lobby. He's lost some of his fire speed, which allows other guns to take the spotlight. Also, thanks to the new arc raiders balance, close-range weapons, AR beams that are clean, and mid-range weapons with tricky maneuvers can now be grouped together. Ventor still slams if you get both shots in, Anvil keeps its stability at all distances, Renegade shoots like a drilling once upgraded, while Torren retains his fast kill cycle. Toro keeps up the pump rhythm in fights while Vulcano & Bobcat dominate the wild dump corner. Stitcher is strong for low-cost builds. Kettle rises due to its zero-recoil spikes. Ailion makes it to A-tier because of its midrange double shot that scares off shields. However, the Ailion needs clever cover play. There is nothing in S+ anymore, and it looks like the entire list is better suited for ranked raids and daily pushes.

 Conclusion

After going through the entire arc raiders rebalanced weapon patch, the picture becomes clear. Ventor's lobby police behavior was dropped, Ailion arrived with his wild control beams, while light ammo weapons like Kettle had a real chance to shine. The PvE became smoother when armor-stripping tools emerged, the PvP matches became fairer as the old bully started to slow down, and arc raiders' tier list is now a place that has more guns.
